DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVES

The descriptive adjectives express a quality of the noun.

They follow the normal rules of adjectives for the form and they can be: a 4 uscite, a 2 uscite o invariable.

The qualifying adjectives have three degrees or quality measures:

• positive degree  (indicates a quality in an indeterminate measure)

  Example:
  "Marco è simpatico."

• comparative degree  (indicates a bigger, smaller or equal quality value in relation to a comparison)

  Example:
  "Marco è più simpatico di Paolo."

• superlative degree  (indicates the absolute maximum quality value)

  Example:
  "Marco è simpaticissimo."
