Some prepositions change when they find a determined article, connecting to it.
Example:
"La porta della mia camera in albergo è chiusa."
In this example the preposition della is formed by di + la. These are the possible combinations:

When the prepositions CON, PER, TRA and FRA find the determined
article they form a group but they are always separated and don’t change.
