INDIRECT PRONOUNS

The indirect pronouns substitute a noun with the function of term complement.

Example:
" Vedo Carlo e gli parlo. "
In this sentence the pronoun 'gli' substitutes 'Carlo' and the function of term complement (I speak with him, 'gli').

The indirect pronouns have two different forms in relation to the accent:

• forms that support the accent (main or strong)  (are usually used with prepositions. They are: "Me, te, lui, lei, noi, voi, loro.")

  Example:
  "Per me va bene cosė."

• forms that don't support the accent (unstressed or weak)  (are used without preposition and before the verb. They are: "Mi, ti, gli, le, ci, vi, gli.")

  Example:
  "Mi va bene cosė."
