RELATIVE PRONOUN "CUI"

The relative pronouncui is invariable in the gender and the number and is used only with the function of indirect complement.
Usually it's preceded by a preposition.

Example:
" La persona di cui parliamo è molto conosciuta. "

Note:
If it's used as term complement the preposition a can be avoided.

Example:
" Mio fratello, cui scrivo questa lettera, è a New York "
