USE OF THE PAST INFINITIVE

The past infinitive is used to build implicit clauses anterior to the supporting clause.

Example:
" Dopo aver incontrato Marco gli ho domandato come stava. "
In this example the action of 'incontrare', expressed with the past infinitive, happens before the action of 'domandare' of the supporting clause.
