SUBORDINATE CONSECUTIVE CLAUSES

The subordinate consecutive clauses indicate the consequence of the action of the supporting clause.

Example:
" Antonio č cosė simpatico che tutti vogliono parlare con lui. "

In the explicit form these clauses are introduced by:

• the conjuction che  (preceded by cosė, tanto, talmente, tale)

  Example:
  "Anna fa un dolce cosė buono che tutti lo vogliono assaggiare."

• a phrase  (a tal punto che, in tal modo che)

  Example:
  "Piove a tal punto che le macchine camminano a passo d'uomo."

Attention:
In the explicit form these clauses use the indicative mood.

Note:
These clauses follow the rules of time concordance.

In the implicit form these clauses are introduced by these conjunctions:

• per or da + infinitive  (preceded by cosė, tanto, abbastanza, poco)

  Example:
  "Marco č troppo puntuale per non arrivare all'appuntamento."

Attention:
In the implicit form these clauses practically only use the infinitive mood.

Note:
These clauses can be contemporary to the supporting (with the present infinitive) or anterior (with the past infinitive).
