SUBORDINATE DECLARATIVE CLAUSES WITH SUBJUNCTIVE

The subordinate declarative clauses clear and explain what is said in the supporting clause.
If the supporting clause expresses certainty, opinion, uncertainty, will or if it's impersonal, these clauses use the subjunctive mood.

Examples:
" Antonio pensa che Marco sia molto contento del suo lavoro. "
In this example the supporting clause expresses an opinion.

" Non sono sicuro che tu sia davvero soddisfatto. "
In this example the supporting clause expresses uncertainty.

" Antonio vuole che voi gli telefoniate. "
In this example the supporting clause expresses a will.

" Sembra che domani sia una bellissima giornata. "
In this example the supporting clause is an impersonal form.
