CONCORDANCE OF THE ADJECTIVE

In Italian the adjective is a variable part.

The adjective can be:

• MASCULINE o FEMININE  (gender)
• SINGULAR o PLURAL  (number)

The adjective takes the gender and the number from the noun it's connected to.

Examples:
" Marco è simpaticO. "
" Anna è simpaticA. "
" Marco e Antonio sono simpaticI. "
" Anna e Lucia sono simpatichE. "
In these examples the adjective changes in relation to the noun's gender and number.
