ELEMENTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SENTENCE

A sentence is a group of linguistic elements with a complete meaning.

The base elements of the construction of a sentence are 3:

• the subject [S]  (indicates the person of the thing that does the action)
• the verb [V]  (expresses the action, indicates the time, the manner and the person)
• the complements [C]  (indicate the time, the place, the cause of the action...)

Example:
" Marco [S] va [V] a Roma [C]. "

The sentence can have different kinds of constructions:

• minimum
• direct
• reverse
• negative
• passive
• interrogative
• of politeness
