PASSIVE CONSTRUCTION OF THE VERBSYou are here: syntax > verb > passive_constructon
The passive form of the verb expresses an action that is sustained by the subject from an external agent.
Example: "

"
In this case the cat perform the action of eating the mouse.
There are three base elements in the passive construction: - the subject
(that sustains the action)
- the verb

- complement of agent
(that perform the action)
Note:
Only the verbs that can have a direct object, can be built to the passive form.
