PHRASEOLOGICAL VERBS WITH INFINITIVE

A group of phraseological verbs forms expressions with infinitive.
These expressions describe an action that will happen in the immediate following moment.

Example:
" Sto per accendere il computer. "

These are the most important verbs with the infinitive:

• stare per

  Example:
  "Marco sta per andare in ufficio."

• essere in procinto di

  Example:
  "L'azienda è in procinto di rinnovare gli impianti."

• essere sul punto di

  Example:
  "Sono sul punto di cominciare l'esame."

• accingersi a

  Example:
  "Mi accingo a partire per le vacanze."

Note:
These expressions have all the same meaning.
